Our CEO, Edward Burbidge, spoke at the 2nd African Women International Business and Investment Summit, hosted by African Women Investors in collaboration with Strathmore Business School and Minnesota State University on the 13th of December. The summit empowers women to invest in Africa’s emerging markets for long term socio-economic development. Presenting an analysis on East African Markets and Opportunities, Edward provided valuable insights into the performance of 5 key asset classes with a comparison across East Africa.
These insights were drawn from our extensive participation in the capital markets as well as our wide volume of research, particularly the “Alpha Investor’s Market”, an East Africa assets yield analysis report published in conjunction with the East Africa Venture Capital Association.
We were proud to be part of this very important event as part of our concerted efforts to contribute to the enhancement of the East African markets by educating investors and the stewards of business on the opportunities and capital available. We were even keener to participate as inclusion, in all its paradigms, is one of our key philosophies, as demonstrated by our 50:50 gender ratio at IMBC.
