Kevin is an Associate Vice President in the team. He holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Finance from Strathmore University and has completed sections 1 – 4 of the Certified Public Accountants of Kenya qualification. He previously worked at I&M Burbidge Capital as an intern and the Institute for Small Business Initiatives at the Strathmore Business School.

Swathi Rao

Associate Vice President

Swathi has successfully structured and executed private markets transactions in a wide variety of sectors and provided clients with advice on strategic financial options available to them. Transactions were executed through a wide array of financial instruments and completed to/on behalf of both trade and institutional investors. She leads the origination of sell-side mandates and further supported the origination of similar and other mandates as a principal member of the internal origination team. Swathi also plays leadership role in operational and finance matters of the organization. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, is a CFA Charter holder and is a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) as well as the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Viraj Shah

Viraj is currently an Associate at I&M Burbidge Capital and has been a part of the team that has successfully executed transactions in the financial services, manufacturing, real estate, renewable energy, agriculture, petroleum and oil sectors across East Africa. Viraj plays a key role in several internal teams, including origination and marketing efforts. Viraj holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He has successfully completed Level I and Level II of the Certified Institute of Securities and Investments and is now pursuing Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst.

Jharna Kamdar

Vice President

Jharna is a seasoned corporate finance professional, with over 15-years’ experience in the fields of strategic planning, corporate finance, accounting, audit and business advisory services. She previously worked at I&M Bank Limited where she was a Senior Manager in the Corporate and Strategic Planning department. During her time at I&M, she played a key role in the Bank’s M&A transactions, capital raising and corporate restructuring. She has also worked at BDO East Africa where she rose through the ranks from a trainee to a Partner in the firm. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Banking and Finance from the University of London and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) as well as a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
